The war is real. The enemy is active. The attacks are coordinated and strategic and aimed at exactly what God placed in you. I have not shared any of this to frighten you. I have shared it to arm you. Because fear is not the appropriate response to the Unseen War — authority is.

More than conquerors. Not conquerors by the skin of our teeth. Not survivors. More than conquerors. Through Him who loved us.

You Were Not Born into This Time by Accident

The level of warfare you are facing is proportional to the level of your assignment. The enemy does not deploy coordinated, sustained campaigns against insignificant targets. He attacks what threatens his kingdom. He attacks what has been given a calling that will cost him territory.

The fact that the warfare has been real — sustained, organized, aimed at your calling, your family, your health, your peace — is not evidence that God abandoned you. It is often evidence that what God placed in you is significant enough to be worth the enemy’s resources.

What This Season Is Building in You

Every battle you have been through has not been wasted. The ground that was hardest to walk has produced in you a discernment, a depth of faith, a capacity for spiritual authority that comfort never builds. You know things now that the person who has never been through warfare does not know. You carry an understanding of the enemy’s tactics that only comes from having survived them.

That is not nothing. That is a weapon.

The Commission Has Not Changed

God’s plan for your life was not surprised by the attack. He is not scrambling to find a Plan B because the enemy disrupted Plan A. Romans 8:28 says He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. All things. Including the warfare. Including the years the locust ate. Including the ground that was taken and needs to be recovered.

The commission is still in effect. The calling is still active. The assignment still stands. And the God who placed it in you before you were born has not changed His mind about it because the journey was harder than expected.

Stand

Having done all — to stand. That is the final command in the armor of God passage. Not to win. Not to defeat. To stand. Because the victory has already been won. Your job is to enforce it. To hold the ground. To not be moved.

You were born for this. Not to be a victim of the Unseen War. To be a soldier who understands it, enforces the victory of the cross against it, and stands when everything around them is shaking.

Stand.
