The Law of Agreement: Why the Enemy Works So Hard to Get Your Yes
Matthew 18:19 — “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”
Everything in the spiritual realm — both the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness — operates on the principle of agreement. This is not abstract theology. It is a governing law of the unseen realm, as reliable and consistent as the law of gravity in the natural realm.
Agreement is the engine. Faith is agreement with what God says. Witchcraft, in the spiritual sense, is agreement with what the enemy says — and the enemy will use every tool at his disposal to get you into that agreement.
How the Enemy Gets Your Agreement
He does it through words spoken over you. Through dreams. Through gifts and objects. Through relationships with people who carry a spirit contrary to what God is building in you. Through your own mouth — through the words you speak about yourself, your future, your situation.
The enemy does not need you to consciously agree. He just needs the alignment. You can come into agreement with darkness unknowingly — through a casual statement, through an action taken in the dream realm, through receiving something from someone without discernment about the spirit attached to it.
The Battle Is Fundamentally a Battle of Agreement
What you align with, you give power to. This is why the enemy works so hard to get you to agree with fear, with limitation, with defeat, with a version of yourself that is smaller than what God says you are. Every time you agree with what God says, you release the resources of heaven into your situation. Every time you agree with what the enemy says — even unknowingly — you give him legal ground.
This is also why renunciation is such a critical part of spiritual warfare. When you specifically revoke an agreement you made — knowingly or unknowingly — you remove the legal basis upon which the enemy was operating. He cannot hold ground that has been legally reclaimed.
Spiritual Law Does Not Care About Your Ignorance
One of the most sobering truths in the Unseen War is this: spiritual laws apply to everyone, regardless of belief. Just as gravity does not suspend itself for someone who does not believe in it, spiritual laws do not suspend themselves for someone who is unaware of them. Ignorance of the law does not protect you from its consequences — it exposes you to them.
This is why education in these things is not optional for the believer who wants to walk in genuine freedom. You cannot fight a war whose rules you do not know. You cannot revoke agreements you do not know you made. You cannot close doors you do not know are open.
